Five years ago, we surprise released Windfall, a film reshaped from an original four episode, first season of a web series. Doing this, obviously, was an indicator that any plans for the second to fourth seasons – the former two being almost scripted in their entirety and the last being plotted – were stalled. Now, five years later, we have surprise released the second season’s scripts, collected in book form, for your consumption.
Approximately 80 pages, Season 2 was to, again, contain four episodes that resided around roughly twenty minutes. The second season continues Marcus Crawsleys’ journey as he deepens the hole he has been digging. The ensemble would’ve grown to include a new antagonist, even more of a menacing and matching threat than what came before, along with an on-the-side love interest that further complicated Marcus’ life and morales.
Akin to Season 1, all four episodes are written by Mike Barkhoff. As this was the only future season fully scripted, with Season 3 seeing five of it’s six episodes get completed, it remains to be seen if, in the future, a third season will be completed and also released.
